Water Quality

In addition, BBWSD actively oversees water quality monitoring and regulatory compliance. Drinking water is treated and disinfected by the City of Blaine and then routinely tested in accordance with state and federal Safe Drinking Water Act standards. BBWSD conducts system-wide sampling and publishes annual water quality (Consumer Confidence) reports to ensure transparency and public health protection

Fire Hydrant Flushing

Fire hydrants occasionally need to be flushed to clear out water mains. When this happens, discolored water can enter households near the flushing. If this happens, run water from your taps for several minutes.
