Water Awareness Poster Contest 2008

Birch Bay Water and Sewer District in coordination with the City of Blaine annually host a "Water Awareness Poster Contest" for the 4th grade class at Blaine Elementary School.  Students are educated on the importance of water conservation by our water conservation specialist and then asked to create "water awareness" posters.  The poster contest is a fun and dynamic way for the kids to express their understanding on the concept of water conservation.  Kids' perceptions of water are always interesting and enlightening!  Pictured below are the winners of the 2008 Water Awareness Poster Contest that was attended by City Manager Gary Tomsic, Mayor Bonnie Onyon and District Commissioner Patrick Alesse.  For more photos of the contest click here.
